The Los Angeles coroner's office has confirmed that the body of troubled singer Whitney Houston was found in the bath at the Beverly Hilton hotel on February 11. 

The 'I Will Always Love You' icon was pronounced dead on Saturday and Ed Winter, the deputy coroner, has now explained the circumstance under which she was discovered, but added that there was "no foul play" involved:

"I know there were reports of did she drown or was it an overdose? But I will not be commenting on that."

He also revealed that a post-mortem examination has now been carried out on the body although the results won't be released to the public until toxicology tests have been processed, which could take up to eight weeks.
