Katy Perry says "you can keep the diamond ring", debuts new single

Katy Perry has finally released her new single 'Part Of Me' through iTunes. 

The track, which features on the repacked version of her 'Teenage Dream' album known as 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection', is currently only available to purchase in the U.S., but Perry has unveiled an official lyric video for fans around the world. 

Capital FM will premiere the song later today, February 13, and it's a gutsy offering with a driving club beat and provocative lyrics such as:

"This is the part of me that you're never gonna ever take away from me/Throw your sticks and your stones/throw your bombs and your blows/but you're not gonna take my soul."

"So you can keep the diamond ring/it don't mean nothing anyway/in fact you can keep everything except from me."

 

 

 

She performed the single at the 2012 GRAMMY Awards last night (February 12) and 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' is set to be released internationally on March 26. Watch the official lyric video for 'Part Of Me' below:
