Noel Gallagher wants to work with Damon Albarn

Noel Gallagher has admitted that he would like to collaborate with former rival Damon Albarn.

Asked in an NME interview whether he would rather make a record with the Blur front-man or Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, he replied: “Oh, Damon. I find Damon a lot more interesting than Thom Yorke, Not that I don't like Thom, or dislike Radiohead. I think they're great live - but I couldn't listen to one of their records.”

He later added: "For a start, he's as mad as a box of frogs. Number two, he'd get loads of hip-hop dudes working on it, which itself would be f***ing mental. And number three? It would be a better record."

The pair were bitter enemies during the '90s Britpop era, but recently patched up their differences after bumping into each other at a club.

Noel confessed: "It was quite a moment. We'd never been in the same room for maybe 10 or 15 years. And I always said to myself if I ever was, I'd go and say, 'F***ing hell, alright man?' and shake his hand and let bygones be bygones and all that."

The former Oasis guitarist is rumoured to be performing with Coldplay’s Chris Martin at Tuesday’s BRIT Awards, where he is nominated for Best British Solo Male.
