Simon Cowell admits he's probably proposed to women "65 times"

Simon Cowell has revealed that he has probably proposed to women about "65 times" now - but all have said no.

The X Factor supremo took time to be interviewed in aid of the Shooting Star Chase charity at an event organised by PR man Max Clifford.

And he told 16-year-old Sian Tolfree about his lack of luck in love, stating that he's never received a "yes" yet to a marriage proposal - and doubts he ever will. He said:

"The truth is no-one will marry me. I must have made 65 marriage proposals and no-one's said yes so it's probably not going to happen."

Cowell also added that he act he regrets mentoring most was none other than winner of X Factor 2004, Steve Brookstein. Speaking about Brookstein, he said:

"Whiny, ungrateful. And I really worked hard with him on the show."
