Target removes offensive Whitney Houston greeting card from sale

American superstore Target has decided to pull a greeting card from its collection as it makes fun of the late Whitney Houston and her rocky relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown.

The offending card (pictured left) reads: "Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston."

Target released an official statement on their decision to the Associated Press, which explained that following the 'I Will Always Love You' star's recent passing it was in bad taste to keep selling the card so it has now been cut:

"It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer, and we take feedback from guests very seriously."

It was also confirmed yesterday, February 29, that the music icon has become the first woman to have 3 studio albums in the Top 10 of Billboard's 200 chart.
