Bez will not be joining the Happy Mondays on their upcoming reunion tour, it has emerged.

The band are due to head out on a tour from May, with the original line-up said to be performing.

However, the BBC reports that Bez is set to sit out of the tour due to concerns over his age.

The 47-year-old dancer said that he wants to bow out "gracefully" as age seemingly creeps up on him. He said:

"I'm not actually performing with the Mondays this time around. Unfortunately age has caught up with me. I'm an old man now. Sometimes you've got to hang your boots up gracefully."
