Katy Perry's new music "is about get real f**king dark"

Katy Perry has admitted her new album should come with a warning because her new music is "about get real f**king dark."

In a candid chat with America's Interview magazine, on which she also graces the cover, the 'Part Of Me' superstar explained that she will channel the emotions surrounding her divorce from comedian Russell Brand into her new material and is prepared to bare all on the record:

"My music is about get real f**king dark. I'll be shoe-gazing. You'll never see my face because my hair is in my face."

In an earlier interview with MTV News, Perry added that she's tempted to go in a different direction musically now and wants to get back to her "roots":

"I just think that it's time for me in some way to show where I came from. I've always just been me and my guitar, and I'm not saying I'm going to make that record, but I do want to get back to my roots."

While speaking to Interview magazine, the 27-year-old pop songstress opened up about her expectations for the future and joked:

"I feel like I could be in Florida on a kind of healthy trip where I’m just riding my bike and chillin’ at the beach, with an assisted-living condo bit and a meal delivery service—which is sort of how I’m living now. But I also kind of hope that I turn out to be like my grandma, who is 91 and so rad.”
