Adam Lambert's Fault magazine cover shoot and revealing interview

Adam Lambert recently sat down for an interview and cover shoot with Fault magazine and along with gracing the cover, he opened up about his highly anticipated forthcoming new album 'Trespassing'

The vocal sensation posed for a series of just released (March 2, 3pm GMT) stunning new photographs, which were styled by Avo Yermagyan and taken by Miguel Starcevich, and in them he showcases a particularly slick look that fits perfectly with the themes of maturity, self-confidence and boldness that make up his record.

When asked about his decision to name his sophomore release 'Trespassing', Lambert explained that the word serves as something of a mission statement in terms of how he lives his life:

"The title track serves as a great mission statement for me as an artist and for how I live my life. I also wanted to give a name to what listeners would be doing by listening to the album. They're essentially trespassing into my world, getting to know me much more in-depth than ever."

He also spoke candidly to Fault about the lyrical content and direction of the new record and admitted he made it so personal because he wants to put the message across that he's "a crazy hedonistic rebel who wants to liberate the masses."

"There are songs on the album that embrace my rock 'n roll spirit and my love of club culture. Yet, underneath it all I'm not always as strong and confident as I may seem. I work hard to project pride and poise when faced with judgement and heartache. That is how I cope. I feel a bit of pressure to set a certain example that suggests that I deserve my place in this industry."

"I'm hard on myself and critical. There are songs on 'Trespassing' that deal with that anxiety. Until I met my current boyfriend, I was always falling for the wrong guys which caused my self worth to suffer. This is just some of what the album explores."

The photographs from the 'Better Than I Know Myself' star's Fault shoot are incredibly refined and he revealed that as his musical style evolves, so does his sense of fashion and it's important to always be versatile and fearless especially in his position:

"The last album and tour was spent really trying to be as ridiculous and camp as possible. An homage to the glam rock costuming of the 70s and 80s. I enjoyed the irony of it. Now I feel like embracing contemporary menswear. I take note of collections and editorials and try and incorporate them into my wardrobe whenever possible."
