The first advert for the UK edition of TV talent show The Voice has been unveiled.

The show, which has proved to a hit in the US, sees Jessie J, will.i.am, The Script's Danny O'Donoghue and Tom Jones take up roles as coaches.

The promotional clip follows Jessie J et al through a studio and into their seats as they look to find the next great vocal talent.

The show revolves around the idea of the four judges taking in contestants' performances with their backs turned - meaning that they are focusing solely on the singer's voice.

The US version of the show features the likes of Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine as coaches.
