Katy Perry has been confirmed to perform at this year's Kids' Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. 

The 'Teenage Dream' sensation will take the stage at the University of Southern California (USC)'s Galen Centre on March 31 for a special live set, in which she will treat fans to a rendition of her new single, 'Part Of Me'. 

Marjorie Cohn, president of Original Programming and Development at Nickelodeon, said Perry was an obvious choice for the event:

"Katy Perry has doubly earned her position as kid favourite - through her music, of course - but also for revelling in an outrageous sliming on the show two years ago. She works hard and plays hard, and that's what makes her performance on the KCAs one to look forward to."
