The Wanted tease One Direction over US success

The Wanted have stoked the flames of boyband 'rivalry' by suggesting that they are doing better in America than fellow UK tykes One Direction.

The boyband are currently placed at No.4 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their track 'Glad You Came', whilst also riding high in the US iTunes chart.

However, One Direction are currently sitting pretty at the top of the US iTunes chart albums with their debut release 'Up All Night'.

Whilst The Wanted's Max George claims there is "no rivalry" between the two camps, the singer reportedly told The Sun that Harry Styles and co. aren't competition yet - and joked about their fans' age. He said:

"Our song is No.4 in the charts. Maybe when they have a song right next to us in the charts over there, they'll be competition. Whenever you see anything about One Direction their fans get a little bit angry. I guess because they're quite young."
