Madonna: I'm not a control freak

Madonna has dismissed any suggestion that she is a control freak.

Speaking to Sirius Radio's Larry Flick, she denied the idea that she is a controlling person - and said that she thrives on collaborating with other people.

Madonna has often been regarded as an independent force when it comes to her music, but she insists that isn't quite the case. She said:

"You know, I hate to use the word 'control' so much, because people use and bandy that word about with me, when it comes to my creative life. Everyone says, 'Oh you're a control freak and you like to be in control'."

She continued: "The thing is, everything I do, even my songwriting, I'm collaborating at all times. I value input from people, and I want it."

Madonna has been releasing a steady stream of teaser clips from her upcoming album 'MDNA' - one of the latest being the rap-influenced track 'I Don't Give A', which features Nicki Minaj.
