Alesha Dixon relishing chance to be 'crazy' on Britain's Got Talent

Alesha Dixon has revealed that she’s relishing the chance to be ‘crazy’ in her new judging role on Britain’s Got Talent.

The former Mis-Teeq singer, who left the Strictly Come Dancing panel to join the hit ITV show within the space of 24 hours back in January, admitted that her new job is more in keeping with her personality during an interview to promote the sixth series.

She said: “It’s been a great experience so far. I think the best way to describe it would be mad! It’s been really nice as coming from Strictly, which is a little bit more reserved, you can definitely be a bit more crazy on this show.

“I’ve been out of my seat dancing and I’ve laughed a lot so that’s always a good thing.”

The 33-year old, who will sit alongside David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell on the show which kicks off on Saturday night, was also praised by co-host Ant McPartlin for her truthful judging skills:

“We’re slightly surprised at how harsh Alesha can be. She knows her stuff, especially with the dance acts. She gets very technical with them.

“She’s also very honest, doesn’t dress things up and isn’t afraid to push that buzzer!”
