Eurovision's Engelbert Humperdinck: "I still get knickers thrown at me"

The UK's Eurovision Song Contest hopeful Engelbert Humperdinck has revealed that women still throw their underwear at him on stage.

The 75-year-old crooner - who will be the oldest ever Eurovision contestant - told The Sun that he still has a legion of amorous female fans.

Although he way not receive quite as much adulation from them, he admitted that he still gets underwear thrown at him whilst performing. He said:

"I still occasionally get knickers thrown at me, yes. I think it is the people that want to be noticed."

He added: "What I should do is throw mine at them."

Humperdinck added that he has been dying his hair for half a century after finding some rogue greys aged 25. He said:

"When I was 25 I had grey hair. I said to myself, 'If I am going to be in showbusiness I can't go out there with grey hair as a young man'. So I started dying my hair really jet black and I created the image with the sideburns. I've been dyeing my hair ever since."
