Whitney Houston's family "saddened" by toxicology report

The family of Whitney Houston are said to be "saddened" by the results of the toxicology checks on the late singer.

As previously reported, a coroner confirmed that Houston's death in February was due to accidental drowning, with the effects of cocaine and heart disease a contributory factor.

In a short statement, Houston's sister-in-law Patricia Houston said that whilst the family were "saddened" at the news, they are happy to now have closure on the situation.

The statement read:

"We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure."
