Taylor Swift reveals she's 'not uncomfortable' with role model status

Taylor Swift has revealed that she is ‘not uncomfortable’ with being a role model for younger fans.

The 22-year-old, who has contributed two songs to The Hunger Games soundtrack, appeared on talk show Live! With Kelly this morning and admitted that she is fully aware of the responsibility being in the public eye brings:

"I'm not uncomfortable with it. You have to be conscious of that. If you're choosing to put out music and be out there in the public, you have to be conscious of the fact that you are a part of the raising of the next generation and you do have an impact on that.

"So, choose your outfits and your words and your actions carefully. I think it matters. I think it really does. You can pretend it doesn't, but it does."

The 'Love Story' star also talked about the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards for which she is nominated in the Entertainer, Female Vocalist and Video of the Year categories.

"I don't know who's going to win any awards. Nobody knows who's going to win until they say somebody's name.

"That's why, when I've won awards in the past, I get up there and [fakes sobs] and it doesn't make any sense and I black out. Then afterwards, I'm like, 'What did I say? Was it English?'" Watch Taylor Swift explain the ACM Awards to her cat, Meredith, below:
