Queen post Sonisphere cancellation message

Iconic rock band Queen have posted a message on their official website that appears to announce the cancellation of the UK's Sonisphere 2012.

The 'We Will Rock You' superstars were due to headline the rock and metal festival in July with vocal sensation Adam Lambert acting as their frontman for the performance, but a post on queenonline.com now explains that the festival will no longer go ahead.

Organisers of Sonisphere, which has already confirmed such acts as Kiss, Faith No More and Evanescence, are yet to make an official statement regarding Queen's post this evening (March 28) and haven't yet publicly addressed the rumour that suggests the festival has been cancelled.
