Emma Bunton finds the Spice Girls musical emotional

Emma Bunton struggled to keep her emotions under control during a read-through of the script for the forthcoming Spice Girls musical, 'Viva Forever'.

The production's writer, Jennifer Saunders, explained to the Daily Mirror that one session was particularly nostalgic for Bunton and almost brought her to tears:

"During one read-through I played one song and then Emma said 'Oh I think I'm going to cry, I loved this song.'"

"It's a collection of their best memories and they had such a ball, such a great time together. Going back and playing all the songs and everything was quite emotional really. Their absolute joy and love of the music and those days is just so palpable."

Although a launch date is yet to be revealed for 'Viva Forever', it's expected to hit London's West End later this year.
