Gary Barlow on his way home after cyclone scareTake That superstar Gary Barlow has tweeted his relief after he was forced to sit out a cyclone "on an island in the Solomons". The singer-songwriter found himself stranded in a remote area east of Papua New Guinea on April 1 and the tropical storm caused him to seek shelter until a rescue boat was sent. He posted several messages about the "adventure" on social networking site Twitter a few days ago: "We're stranded on an island in the Solomons. There's a cyclone heading our way and there's no way off. Gonna have to sit it out!! Power's back on.The lovely government here are sending a search and rescue boat for us this morning #adventure" Earlier this afternoon, April 3, Barlow added: "In Pappa Nuigini getting flight to Singapore #homebound." "Just landed in Singapore. Home seems a lot closer all of a sudden #noplacelikehome. British Airways put the kettle on! I haven't had a decent cup of tea in 3 weeks #diamondjubilee"
