Marcus Collins confirms new single as 'Mercy', unveils artwork

Former X Factor finalist Marcus Collins has announced details of his new single.

The talented singer kicked off his career earlier this year with a cover of 'Seven Nation Army' by the White Stripes, but will now press ahead with a new track entitled 'Mercy'.

Collins co-wrote the song with Lee McCutcheon and Lisa Green, and will release it as the second cut to be taken from his self-titled debut album on June 3. Speaking about the single, he explained:

"No-one wants to see misery at the moment. Smile. Make people smile with you. And do songs that make people smile. We've never needed that more than at the moment."

The single's artwork has also been unveiled and is a simple colour photograph of Collins sat in a partly shadowed room.
