Adele didn't think '21' would be successful in the USA

British vocal superstar Adele has revealed that the success of her sophomore album '21' in the USA came as a shock to her.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 'Set Fire To The Rain' superstar explained that she never expected the record to do so well stateside and was genuinely moved by the impact it had in America:

"I was saying, 'I don't think this record is going to do anything. I can't feel the buzz in America'."

Earlier this year, Adele became the first artist ever to celebrate a double Platinum certification on U.S. iTunes although she confessed that moving across the pond is something she would probably never consider because she loves the UK too much.
