Nicki Minaj tops UK album chart with Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Nicki Minaj has scored her first number one on the official UK album chart with her second studio effort, 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.'

The 29-year-old’s follow-up to 2010’s ‘Pink Friday,’ which only managed to peak at No.16, pushed Madonna’s record-breaking 12th chart-topper, ‘MDNA,’ down to number seven in a busy week for new entries.

Labrinth’s debut album, ‘Electronic Earth,’ charted at number two, just ahead of Adele’s 21, kids phenomenon, Moshi Monsters’ ‘Music Rox,' and Emeli Sande's 'Our Version Of Events.'

Elsewhere, there were debuts for Lostprophets' 'Weapons' (No.10), Orbital’s ‘Wonky,’ (No.22) Sean Paul’s ‘Tomahawk Technique’ (No.34), Ian Anderson’s ‘Thick As A Brick 2’ (No.35), and Graham Coxon’s ‘A&E’ (No.39), whilst The Script’s self-titled debut album re-entered at No.31 on the back of front-man Danny O’Donoghue’s appearance on The Voice.
