Jason Derulo is making progress with his recovery from a serious neck injury.

The 'It Girl' superstar fractured his neck at the beginning of the year during rehearsals for his world tour, which he was then forced to cancel, and has been in a neck brace ever since, but enjoyed a "breakthrough" yesterday (April 11).

His girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, posted an inspiring message on Twitter to update his fans on his situation: "Yay! @jasonderulo had a breakthrough with his neck today!Your thoughts/prayers are helping!PTL."

Later in the day, Derulo added: "Yup!I'm able 2 move it a bit."

He also explained last month that his injury showed him how precious life really is and said: "I'm lucky to be here. I view life from a different perspective now. It's another chance. It's another chance to appreciate life."
