The Wanted star Nathan Sykes has dismissed reports that the band are at loggerheads with One Direction.

Rumours of rivalry between the two boybands have continued to surface over the past few months, with Max George recently hinting that the ‘One Thing’ stars were better known for their looks than their music, whilst claims emerged this week that they nearly came to blows during rehearsals in L.A.

However, the 18-year-old, whose band are set to perform on The Voice USA on Tuesday, told TMZ that the two groups are on good terms after being asked if he thinks they intimidate their younger counterparts.

He said: "I think we intimidate a lot of people, but I am pretty sure we don't intimidate other teenage boys!

"No, it's all good. I was texting Liam [Payne] earlier."
