The Wanted's Jay McGuiness talks t-shirt prank

The Wanted's Jay McGuiness has revealed that he was tricked into thinking the band's US career was over because of his t-shirt.

Speaking to the Daily Star, McGuiness said that his bandmates made him believe that his naughty slogan t-shirt was going to kill off the band's chances in America as radio stations began to drop them from their playlists.

He believed the trick and even wrote a letter of apology over the incident. He said:

"I wore a T-shirt that had a sexual act slogan on it. The boys told me we were going to be dropped from every radio station in the US and Canada as some channels had been offended."

"I believed them and wrote an apology note and spent about an hour sweating."
