Ronnie Wood apologises for Rolling Stones studio talk

Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has apologised over the speculation caused after he apparently said that the band were set to hit the studio.

Wood had reportedly said recently that the veteran rockers were due head into the recording studio in the near future.

However, speaking to Billboard, Wood confirmed that the media twisted what he said and that it is purely his own personal wish that the band return to the studio. He said:

"I heard from (Mick) Jagger; he's going, 'What the hell?! We don't know anything yet!' And I said, 'you know what (the media) are like. I just expressed my personal view; I would love to go into the studio. Then they took it all wrong."

He added: "So I have to make a personal apology to the rest of the band. I didn't mean to say things out of line."
