'212' star Azealia Banks cancels UK dates

Azealia Banks has cancelled all of her upcoming UK appearances apart from her major festival commitments.

The '212' rising star has been forced to pull the string of dates, which included scheduled live sets at London's Lovebox, The Parklife Weekender in Manchester, Scotland's Rockness and Rough Beats in North Yorkshire, and a newly released official statement explains the tough decision:

"A decision has been made by her new management that she needs to get back into the studio and invest more time on her forthcoming debut album Broke With Expensive Taste."

Banks took to her official Twitter page earlier this evening (April 27) and apologised to her fans for the inconvenience:

"Sorry people! I had to cancel a bunch of UK dates. They were all prematurely booked by my old management without any consideration for me and the album I need to finish!"

"I'm still doing Reading & Leeds, Radio One's Hackney Weekend, Summer Sonic in Japan, SITG in Australia, then my official uk tour in Sept. Im sorry y'all. I love you guys so much. & you all know I love the stage. But I can't finish my record if I'm touring all summer..."
