One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has revealed that he has been enjoying sampling student life as he swaps tour hotels for his girlfriend's shared house in Manchester.

Speaking to Britain's popular newspaper The Sun, Tomlinson explained that Eleanor Calder has shown him a great example of real student life and he loves to spend time at her house doing ordinary things like making sandwiches:

"Eleanor's really down to earth. She makes me fish finger (fish stick) sandwiches and it's great to do something normal after the madness of the tour."

"All my mates are at university, and it's a life I haven't had a chance to enjoy, so it's great to turn up and sample a bit of it."

The singer took to his official Twitter page last night (May 1) and let his fans in on a little detail about his heritage, writing: "Little unknown fact I'm 1/16 Belgian."
