Carly Rae Jepsen tops UK's first ever streaming chart

Carly Rae Jepsen has come out trumps in the UK's first ever streaming chart.

The Canadian Idol star's track 'Call Me Maybe' has entered at No.1 on the UK's inaugural weekly streaming chart, according to the Official Charts Company.

The list, which collates figures from music streaming services such as Spotify, sees fun.'s US smash 'We Are Young' land at No.2.

At No.3 on the list is Gotye's YouTube smash 'Somebody That I Used To Know', whilst Alex Clare's 'Too Close' is in at No.4.

Elsewhere on the list, Nicki Minaj's 'Starships' lands at No.5 whilst Sean Paul's 'She Doesn't Mind' managed to secure a respectable No.8 position.
