The Script reveal plans to release new album in September

The Script are set to release their next album later this year.

The band's main man Danny O'Donoghue told the Daily Star that the group are planning to bring out their new album in September.

However, he stressed that they're not wanting to rush release anything off the back of his appearance on The Voice. He said:

"Our new album will be out in September. We've chosen the singles but we didn't want to rush it off the back of the show. People knew The Script but not our faces so The Voice has been good for us."

O'Donoghue also spoke about his new found "role model" status now that he is a member of the Voice's judging panel - revealing that he had to agree not to swear on TV show Loose Women. He said:

"I was the only one when I went on Loose Women who was made to sign a contract saying I wouldn't swear. When you're on the BBC you're obviously impressionable, especially to young girls."
