The UK's royal family are a big talking point at the moment what with the upcoming Diamond Jubilee and boyband The Wanted have their eyes not just on the Queen herself, but also on her underwear.

During an interview with World Monitor TV, the heartthrobs were informed that someone is selling what they claim to be a pair of the Queen's "panties" on auction hosting site eBay.

Upon hearing the strange news, members Max George and Tom Parker revealed their initial shock - and then excitement - and admitted they are tempted to put in a few bids.

Parker said: "Her panties? Oohhh. I’d buy them. I’d buy them and frame them."

Singer George then added: "I’d buy them. I’d buy them for a dollar."

The guys are set to score their third UK No.1 single tomorrow (May 27) with 'Chasing The Sun', which debuted at the top of the charts a few days ago during the midweek update.
