Spice Girls Diamond Jubilee Concert heartbreak

Iconic British girl group the Spice Girls have revealed their regret and disappointment at not having performed at the Queen's Jubilee Concert over the bank holiday weekend.

Back in February, Mel C confirmed that the girl power pioneers would not be taking part in the nationwide celebrations and told Lorraine Kelly:

"Unfortunately we don't plan to perform or reform, so I'm sorry to disappoint anybody. We often have things that we talk about and it was something that we discussed, but unfortunately it's not going to happen."

All Saints singer Nicole Appleton tweeted a public message to both Melanie C and Emma Bunton telling them the Spice Girls should have performed at the Diamond Jubilee Concert: "Ok the spice girls should have rocked this show!!..Xxx"

Mel C also added: "Bit miffed I'm not down at Buckingham Palace :-( x"

Following the interaction, Mel B soon joined in and revealed that she wishes the 'Viva Forever' group had reunited for a special performance:

"Makes me sooo sad spice girls wasn't part of the queens jubilee, break my heart big time, i was so up for it, watched some of it on tv, amazing!"
