Robin Gibb's coffin to travel through his hometown

The coffin of the late Bee Gees superstar Robin Gibb will make its way through his hometown of Thame before arriving at the church for his funeral service, it has been confirmed.

In a bid to say one final goodbye, the singer, who passed away recently following a battle with cancer, will be driven around the Oxfordshire town and will then travel on to St. Mary's Church in the area for a private funeral that is set to be attended by close friends and family.

An official statement from Gibb's family explains:

"At his wish, he will say a final goodbye to fans and his hometown of Thame, Oxon (sic), this Friday prior to the funeral."

It has also been reported that Gibb's coffin will be transported in a glass-sided carriage pulled along by four horses.
