Gary Barlow completes chart double as Sing reaches number one

Gary Barlow and the Commonwealth Band have today completed a chart double after ‘Sing’ climbed to the top spot in its second week.

The lead single from the seven-track E.P., which also took pole position on the album chart, rose from last week’s No.11 placing to reach number one in the same week they performed the song at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert.

Flo Rida's 'Whistle' entered at No.2, just ahead of former number ones from Fun and Rudimental and a new entry from Usher's 'Scream' (No.5), DJ Fresh scored his third consecutive Top 10 hit with Dizzee Rascal collaboration, ‘The Power’ (No.6) while Coldplay & Rihanna’s ‘Princess Of China’ made its first appearance in the Top 10 (No.8) following the premiere of its video last weekend.

Elsewhere, there were debuts for Nelly Furtado’s ‘Big Hoops (The Bigger The Better)' (No.14), Dot Rotten’s Overload’ (No.15), Ed Sheeran's 'Small Bump' (No.25), Justin Bieber's 'All Around The World' (No.30) and former X-Factor finalist Aiden Grimshaw’s ‘Is This Love’ (No.35), while The Voice winner Leanne Mitchell’s cover of Whitney Houston’s ‘Run To You’ charted at a disappointing No.45.
