Rihanna has posted online a video message to her fans.

The singer uploaded the short video today (June 13) to apologise for her lack of social networking activity.

She said she has been spending time with her Grandmother and that she misses speaking to her fans. Rihanna said:

"I know I've been slacking on my social networking game recently, but I've been spending some with my Grandma, and I miss you guys."

As previously reported, Rihanna recently cancelled a scheduled trip to the UK to spend more time with her family.

Tabloid media had reported that her postponement was due to tiredness - something which she vehemently denied on Twitter.
