Cheryl has heaped praise on Beyoncé, calling her "empowering".

Beyoncé is often revered by many and the Girls Aloud singer is no different it seems.

She told i-D that the 'Love On Top' star is a "beautiful person inside and out" and that she is someone she looks up to.

Cheryl added that she would want to be a "strong woman" style role model herself for younger ladies. She said:

"[I want to be] a strong woman. That's the most empowering thing that I could be. And somebody that helps people to realise their dreams - so that they can look at me and think, well if she can do it, then I can do it."

She added: "I love Beyoncé. I just think she's such a beautiful person inside and out. Apart from what she does on stage, which is obviously incredible and aspirational, I just like her as a woman. She's empowering."
