Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed her surprise at hitting No.1 in the US charts.

The Canadian singer is currently riding high in the Billboard Hot 100 with her track 'Call Me Maybe', which has proved to be an international smash.

Billboard reports that Jepsen said she feels "blessed" over the chart domination and she took time to thank those who helped make the song what it is. She said:

"I feel so blessed. Thank you to everyone who made this happen. Life keeps surprising me lately and it's a wonderful feeling."

Jepsen's label founder Scooter Braun meanwhile said that Jepsen is utterly worthy of her success as she is a great person too. He said:

"To see Carly hit No. 1 is an amazing achievement, but what is even better is seeing it happen to someone as kind and as warm a person as Carly Rae Jepsen. No one is more deserving. And, I know from hearing her music that this is just the beginning for her."
