Rita Ora admits nerves over Coldplay support slot

Rita Ora has admitted she was ‘really nervous’ at having to open for Coldplay on their recent UK tour.

The Roc Nation signing, who recently stepped in as a guest judge during the audition stages of The X-Factor, told VH1’s Big Morning Buzz that she initially found the prospect of performing in front of such large crowds rather daunting:

“To be there, I was really nervous ’cause I haven’t even done intimate gigs. I went straight to doing stadiums.

“I can either melt into a blob on stage or I can just own it. So we did and I actually got the best response ever.”

The 21-year-old, who has already scored two UK number ones this year with 'R.I.P.' and DJ Fresh collaboration, 'Hot Right Now,' also revealed that she wants to concentrate on her debut album, 'Ora,' now her touring commitments are over:

“This album is finally ready to come out around September time. Ora is my surname, but it also means time in my country, Kosovo, and it definitely took me a long time to get this album—three years to be exact.”
