Caroline Flack claims X-Factor judges are all hoping for overs category

Caroline Flack has claimed that The X-Factor judges are all hoping to be given the overs category for this year's ninth series.

The Xtra Factor host told the Daily Mirror that despite the category not producing a winner since Steve Brookstein in 2004, Louis, Gary and Tulisa have been so impressed with this year's auditionees that they all believe that can change this year:

“There’s so much talent this year. It’s even getting to the point where I’m like, ‘There is too much – how are we going to narrow it down?’.

“Normally the overs are the novelty acts but they are really amazing this year, especially the girls. There are some real Leona types and one in particular is really good. Everyone wants the overs and all the judges are fighting for them because they are brilliant.”

The former girlfriend of One Direction’s Harry Styles also revealed that she is missing her co-host Olly Murs, who has had to skip the early audition stages due to his touring commitments in the USA:

“I have the best job and the best time. I do miss Olly Murs not being there at the moment but I keep messaging him as he doesn’t want to be left out.”
