Gary Barlow’s Sing E.P. tops album chart for third week

Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band’s ‘Sing’ E.P. has topped the album chart for a third consecutive week.

The seven-track release, recorded to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, denied Amy Macdonald a second number one, narrowly pipping her third album, 'Life In A Beautiful Light,' to pole position.

Usher's seventh studio effort, 'Looking 4 Myself,' entered at No.3, just ahead of Coldplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto’ and Paloma Faith's 'Fall To Grace,' whilst there were also new entries in the Top 20 for Fleetwood Mac's '25 Years The Chain' (No.9), Maximo Park’s ‘The National Health' (No.13) and Hot Chip’s ‘In Our Heads' (No.14).

Further down the chart, there were debuts for Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ ‘Trouble' (No.35) and Milos Karadaglic's 'Latino' (No.38) and compilations from Johnny Cash, The Stone Roses and Neil Young.
