Katy Perry's reported love interest Rob Ackroyd has broken his silence on the US pop singer.

Ackroyd, who plays guitar for Florence + The Machine, had been photographed reportedly kissing Perry at the Coachella Festival and has also been seen out with the 'Part Of Me' star.

Heat magazine have said they caught up with the guitarist in Katy Perry's dressing room at the recent Capital FM Summertime Ball event, with Ackroyd calling Perry the "real deal". He said:

"She's the real deal. She loves London, so I'm just showing her the sights."

They asked him if he was Perry's boyfriend - which was met with silence - and then asked if it was just a physical partnership, to which he replied:

"No, no, it's not like that. Um, more like the other one."
