One Direction are well used to receiving a bit of female attention now and again, but they have revealed that mums are usually the worst.

The boys are currently out in the US as they continue their headline North America tour, and they told The Sun that they have been getting a lot of attention from older females.

Liam Payne admitted that they even get grabbed and pinched by the motherly types. He said:

"The mums are fearless. They will grab and pinch and it gets quite tricky."

Harry Styles meanwhile, who courted controversy when he went out with 32-year-old Caroline Flack, said age isn't really a sticking point. Speaking about dating older women, he said:

"I would not have a problem as long as they were nice and made me smile."
