The mother of One Direction star Harry Styles has rubbished rumours that her son is fighting an eating disorder.

One fan asked Anne Cox directly on Twitter if the news was true after hearing rumours that Styles was in ill health.

The fan included a picture on the message which claimed Styles is becoming both "anorexic and bulimic" because people "hated on him". The fan asked Styles' mum Cox:

"Please tell me that this isn't true!! I love him so much and I don't want him to DIE!! :'( or be sad or hurt."

Cox however replied: "A complete load of tosh! Yet again! Seriously wonder about people."

As previously reported, Harry Styles seemingly left an impression on Cody Simpson's sister Alli after she interviewed him earlier this week, calling him "amazing".
