Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has been caught showing off a brand new tattoo.

The 'Boyfriend' heartthrob got a new addition to his growing collection of body art recently to commemorate the release of his brand new album.

He stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week for an interview and wore a short-sleeved top to reveal the word 'Believe', which is the title of his new record, inked horizontally across his left arm.

When Letterman warned Bieber against getting more tattoos, he simply replied: "How does it not help the way I look?" Just replied. "Yesterday, my album came out – it was a brilliant day – so I got 'Believe' tattooed on me."

He is currently promoting the cut and tweeted earlier this evening (June 22):

"Ready to knock out some more promo for #BELIEVE - so grateful to see the response to the album. #1 in 34 COUNTRIES so far!"
