Ed Sheeran talks One Direction & Jessie J collaborations

Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he will be writing and producing some songs for One Direction's second album.

The ‘Lego House’ singer, who wowed crowds at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend yesterday, told the Daily Star that the boyband have asked for his help with the follow-up to 'Up All Night' but that he won’t be appearing on the record himself:

“I wrote a couple of songs when I was 17 that One Direction want for their next album. I’m going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them.

“I won’t feature on the tracks though, there’s definitely a divide in genre.”

The 21-year-old, who entered the Billboard charts at No.5 earlier this week with debut album, '+,' also revealed that he’s still hoping to team up with Jessie J in the future as well:

“I’m still up for the Jessie duet but she is incredibly busy at the moment and we are struggling to find the time just yet.”
