Miley Cyrus has revealed one of the reasons why she loves fiance Liam Hemsworth is that he shares her dad's work ethic.

Miley told Celebuzz that her father Billy Ray Cyrus is a "really hard worker" and as such, she has been conditioned to like men who put in a bit of hard graft.

She said that actor fiance Hemsworth is someone who puts a lot of passion into his work and that he "wants to be great" at what he does. She said:

"My dad has always been a really hard worker so I like when men work hard. I always work really hard, so it is good to have someone that is as passionate at what they do and wants to be great at what they do, instead of just being okay. We always strive to have 130 per cent."

Hemsworth meanwhile commented on the pair's engagement, admitting it was "expected" but exciting nonetheless. He said:

"It was expected but we are very, very excited and very happy. So it is great."
