Little Mix debut new single, ‘Wings'

Little Mix have debuted their new single, ‘Wings,’ in an exclusive lyric video on their official YouTube channel.

The girlband, who became the first ever group to win The X-Factor last year, uploaded the song ahead of their first performance of the song at T4 On The Beach later this afternoon.

Co-written by Iain James (Professor Green’s 'Read All About It'), the old-school R&B track showcases the girls’ impressive harmonies and contains an empowering chorus which appears to allude to the issues of bullying:

“Mama told me not to waste my life – she said ‘spread your wings, my little butterfly, don’t let what they say keep you up at night, and they can’t detain you, these wings are made to fly’.”

The follow-up to the band’s number one cover version of Damien Rice’s ‘Cannonball’ will receive its official radio premiere on BBC Radio 1’s The Chris Moyles Show on Monday morning.
