Adam Lambert praises Lady Gaga's ability to reinvent music

Adam Lambert has praised Lady Gaga's talent at taking older sounding music and reinventing it as something new.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Lambert used his own album 'Trespassing' as an example of music that is essentially retro, but with a modern twist.

He praised Lady Gaga's ability at doing this, with the 'Born This Way' singer excelling at "putting it in a blender and making it her own". Lambert said:

"My album is dance music, but it's a different breed of dance than the mainstream right now. It's not Eurodance but more retro and disco. We dressed it up in a modern way and made it sound current as I love when pop music references things. That's the post-modern age we're living in."

He continued: "The thing I love about Lady Gaga is she's so clever at doing that, putting it in a blender and making it her own. It takes a lot of talent to achieve that. The fashion right now is all about referencing something and using that as a jump-off point, and I believe good pop music does that."
