Justin Bieber UK tour ticket demand "five times greater than One Direction"

Justin Bieber is currently enjoying a huge demand for tickets after announcing a UK tour.

The Canadian star confirmed plans to hit England for a number of dates in 2013 as he looks to promote his new album 'Believe'.

Ticket company viagogo say online searches for Bieber's tour is high - five times greater than the number of searches enjoyed by One Direction for their UK tour earlier in the year.

They say that Bieber has seen a 216% increase in searches on the viagogo website since he announced his UK tour.

Edward Parkinson, spokesperson for viagogo, said:

"One Direction will soon be returning home after charming America, but our data shows that Bieber is currently more popular than the whole band put together."

He continued: "They'll have to pull out all the stops to compete with Bieber Fever which looks set to reach boiling point in the UK!"
