Beyoncé to Frank Ocean: 'Be brave, be in love, be yourself'

International superstar Beyoncé has shown her support for Frank Ocean after he recently revealed that he once had a love affair with a man.

Although Ocean didn't put a specific label on his sexuality, last week he wrote an open letter on his Tumblr page that explained he fell in love with a guy when he was 19-years-old:

"4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too," he admitted. "By the time I realised I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with."

Posting on her own blog, Beyoncé uploaded a black and white photo of the star that she had written a series of inspiring notes across (pictured below). They worked together on the 'Halo' sensation's latest album '4' and he co-wrote the track 'I Miss You'.

Other musicians have also taken to social networking sites to share their admiration for Ocean's honesty, and Ed Sheeran, Scissor Sisters, and Russell Simmons have all publicly applauded his courage.
